The DrayTek Vigor 2710Vn is a highly integrated ADSL2/2+ modem / router with VPN and Firewall capabilities specifically designed for SOHO (Small Office and Home Office) and residential broadband access requirements.
The DrayTek Vigor 2710Vn is also an integrated network access device that not only offers rich functionality with up to 24Mbps bandwidth downstream, with bandwidth management for multimedia applications, a built-in secured wireless access point, and a VoIP port to provide a cost-saving alternative for telephone calls.
Vigor2710Vn complies with 802.11n Draft-n standards. The wireless LAN isolation, Mac address control, and WEP/WPA/WPA2 encryption let you easily setup a secure Wireless network for your home. Vigor2710Vn also has two analog phone connectors and one line port.
DrayTeks' 2710Vn also incorporates a powerful firewall for protection against malicious Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. The Vigor2710Vn also includes more advanced security features such as Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) ensuring network reliability by detecting attacks and prohibiting malicious penetrating packets from entering the internal network.
In addition, the DrayTek Vigor2710Vn has embedded VPN support for confidential remote access, and is equipped with powerful DES, and 3DES encryption engine, as well as automated key management via IKE to easily create 2 simultaneous VPN tunnels.

By making the most of your ADSL line (via advanced QoS), the call will be carried to the destination via Internet so you can save on the telephone bill. When encountering Internet failures, the automatic fail-over mechanism of Vigor2710Vn will intelligently redirect calls via the legacy telephone line. Also the Vigor2710Vn will bypass all calls to the telephone line during power outages to ensure an outgoing life line.
Need even more versatility?! Attach your USB storage device to the USB port of Vigor2710Vn to share files, or you can use a USB printer by connecting it to the 2710Vn USB port.
The Vigor2710Vn has an easy-to-use CSM (Content Security Management) that can prevent / block the connection to Web sites that contain illegal or objectionable content. The use of bandwidth / session consuming Peer-to-Peer (P2P) applications can also be managed by embedded CSM.
Triple Play Application
DrayTeks Vigor2710Vn with built-in ADSL2/2+ modem can provide full triple play services for home entertainment and SOHO business.
Viewing the illustration below as an example, the DrayTek TR-069 can facilitate an ISP/Telco/CLEC to define VLAN tags for video packets, VoIP packets and data packets. Hence, the movie/TV/multi-media applications with VLAN tag 1 will be displayed at the TV through set-top box.
The file downloading/Internet surfing/mail sending/receiving is on VLAN tag 3. The VoIP calls are on VLAN tag2.
The DrayTek Vigor 2710Vn is a true Triple Play device that allows ISP/Telcos/CLECs to efficiently & effectively manage and diagnose triple play services.
